News: Bishop protests against new casino

The new giant shopping mall project that has begun construction in the south of Manila has been denounced by Bishop Lucilius Quiambao as it is planned to include a casino. He has reportedly lodged an official objective on moral grounds. Nor does he think that gambling is the solution to the Philippines economic woes. The casino would, however, attract numerous tourists and create thousands of jobs to help boost the economy.
